Posted 11 months agoThe handsome Audi A5 is one of the market’s top coupes, a wonderful combination of comfort, speed and agility. However, up until recently the A5 has only been available as a 3-door coupe, and with customers around the world looking for more practicality to go with strong, distinctive looks, Audi got to work and added rear doors to give us Audi A5 Sportback car leasing.
So, the A5 Sportback is a design hybrid, a mixture of saloon and coupe and it wears this unusual – and very late 2010’s styling – very, very well. The lines are crisp without being overly dramatic and the proportions and subtle differences help it standout from the A4 family member. Audi deploys its usual mixture of practical and powerful engines to give options to a wide range of customers, with both petrol and diesel units available.
Petrol power comes from a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder badged ‘TFSI’ and ranging in power from around 150 to 245bhp. Manual and automatic transmissions can be chosen from, and as with all of Audi’s products, there’s always the choice of the Quattro all-wheel drive system that made the marque so famous. Diesel lovers need not fear missing out either, as Audi still pops the 2.0-litre ‘TDI’ engine into the A5 Sportback lease offers too, so if you’re a longer distance driver then this will tick a lot of boxes for you, theoretically returning around 60mpg on a combined cycle.
There are currently 4 different trim levels available when you lease an A5 Sportback – Sport, S-Line, Black Edition and Vorsprung. Even the entry level Sport features navigation, cruise and climate control, leather sports seats and a host of entertainment and safety features, with the trims that follow it increasingly adding extra levels of luxury. At the top-spec Vorsprung level you get LED Matrix headlights and a Bang and Olufsen sound system. All A5 Sportback models feature a boot with around 460-litres of space inside, a good number for a car of this size and the rear seats help make entry and exit a far simpler task.
