Posted 3 years agoBack in 2016 at the Geneva Motor Show - one of the car industry’s leading events - Audi took the wrapper off a brand new model in its line up, the Audi Q2 SUV. This vehicle displayed a bit of a new look for Audi, it was a bit more vibrant, a bit more youthful and edgy. That was all teh plan, of course, as Audi wanted the new Q2 SUV to be a car that stole the hearts of younger buyers. As it turns out, it got attention from just about everyone, thanks to its focus on, of all things, fun.
We’re now 6 years down the road at the time of writing, and the Audi Q2 SUV is still available to lease from Synergy on both business and personal lease agreements - and it’s kept that fun spirit too. The Q2 SUV is available in a number of bright colours, with unique customisable elements also available to our customers. It’s a European exclusive too, because unlike Audi’s other SUVs, the Q2 SUV is made available only to European customers, which adds to its rarity somewhat.
Plenty of what you’ll find under the Q2 SUV’s bonnet is technology cherry picked from other Audi models, so it has a proven track record. Audi uses the Volkswagen Group’s MQB A1 platform, the same as what the Volkswagen Golf and other models use, and the Q2 SUV’s engine and mechanicals will be familiar to any Audi enthusiast. Audi has focused on providing smaller, more efficient engines in the Q2 SUV, as it’s a vehicle most commonly leased by urban living customers, so smaller capacity units such as the 1.0-litre TFSI turbo petrol work perfectly.
The Audi Q2 SUV gives a distinctly car-like feel to the driver, and it’s really just a hatchback with a slightly higher driving position - from a dynamic perspective. Audi talks a lot about how the Q2 SUV is fun to drive, and it’s not wrong. The feel you get from the steering and pedals and the perky petrol engines make it a real joy to potter about in, and like any true Audi, there’s a lot of confidence to lean on the car in the corners. Quattro all-wheel drive, Audi’s legendary system, is of course, available as an option on some models.
