Posted one year agoAudi’s all-electric emission free Q4 SUV is one of the newest vehicles in the Audi vehicle range, and one of the most exciting. A few years ago, Audi embarked on a project to bring electric power into its SUV line up and launched the now famous e-tron SUV. Thanks to the progress that car and its accompanying technology made, the tech has filtered down into smaller, more affordable vehicles and that’s where Audi Q4 SUV car leasing comes in. It’s an e-tron, but more accessible.
First displayed to the excited crowd gathered at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, the Audi Q4 SUV lease deals are similar in size to the famous Q5. It has an image quite different to the Q5 though, with its “face” definitely more derived from the original design of the e-tron rather than other cars in the Audi ‘Q’ range. It makes use of its design to improve efficiency, with a low drag coefficient helping to maximize the range of its batteries.
Electric cars often don’t have a ton of boot space, but the Q4 SUV impresses with 520-litres available with all the seats raised, and this can be expanded out to 1,490-litres with the row folded down. This is a very good level of space in an EV and is bound to prove useful during shopping trips and recycling centre runs.
The Audi Q4 SUV’s batteries are capable of carrying you up to 321-miles according to the latest WLTP testing examinations. Battery capacities actually vary from 52 to 82 kWh, and power from 170 to 299bhp. Entry level 170bhp models are, unusually for an Audi, rear-wheel driven, which is a little more BMW than it is Audi, but with the higher power outputs comes the famous quattro all-wheel drive system Audi is known all over the world for.
Being electrically powered, all Audi Q4 SUV leasing models are of course gearless, there’s no gearbox here to speak of. Drive it just like an automatic. Drive it at its quickest, meanwhile and the Audi Q4 SUV is capable of a speedy print to 62mph that will take just 6.2-seconds. Of course, sprint times and ranges can vary between models and how you drive.
