Ford Focus Hatchback Business & Personal Car Leasing Offers
The Ford Focus hatchback succeeded the Ford Escort and first appeared on our roads back in 1998. It was an instant hit and since then, Ford has managed to find a home for more than 2,000,000 Focus models here in the UK.
More than 2 decades have passed since the first Focus appeared on our streets and the new model is the best yet. This Focus hatchback is the 4th generation of the famous name, and doesn’t it just look fantastic? The Focus hatchback has consistently been a head-turner over the course of its lifespan, but this new model is easily the best looking to date.
A new Ford Focus can be ordered in a variety of trim levels in either estate or hatchback body styles, like the car we have here. With the Focus hatchback, you get plenty of space in the boot though, there’s 316-litres of loading capacity, with the option of expanding this to 1,215-litres with the rear seats folded down.
The new generation of Focus adds an eye-catching new trim level named ‘Active’. The Active will be very similar to Audi’s ‘allroad’ style in that it’s a raised, more rugged SUV-esque appearance, but if this isn’t to your taste, you’ll be pleased to know the popular and sporty looking ST-Line trim is still present, as is luxury top-spec Vignale trim.
Underneath the bonnet of the all-new Focus is a range of petrol and diesel engines. Ford has a particularly excellent petrol engine that comes highly recommended – the multi-award winning 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo Ecoboost. This unit is available in three separate power outputs and is remarkable due to its size and weight - it has the footprint of a piece of A4 paper. Drivers are particularly fond of it in its 138bhp output, with its raspy engine note bound to put a smile on your face. A 1.5-litre diesel is preferred by many drivers undertaking longer distance driving. Its 91g/km of CO2 emissions make it a tempting proposition for business lease customers.
In response to a previous criticism of the older models of Ford Focus, there’s an all-new automatic gearbox. The new 8-speed transmission is both quicker and slicker than previous Ford automatics and also has special software that allows it to learn the driving habits of its driver.
There’s a reason why the Ford Focus has been such a huge success over the last couple of decades, it’s huge fun to drive, well equipped, stylish and even better than that, great value on a Synergy personal or business lease agreement.
