FORD MUSTANG COUPE CAR LEASING
The Ford Mustang - there are just a handful of cars in motoring history that possess a name as evocative and as romantic as the car we have here. For driving devotees, this is the muscle car to have - it is a globally recognised icon that turns heads everywhere from Los Angeles to London.
A large part of the appeal of a Ford Mustang is the rich history. The first Mustang went on sale in 1964 and it rapidly grew in popularity, beginning its journey to becoming one of the World’s most desirable cars – it has been on sale ever since, but not in the UK. It took until 2015 for Ford to launch the Mustang as a global car, only in the last 5 years have you been able to order a Mustang in right-hand drive for the UK market.
Ford’s format for the Mustang is beautifully simple – build a beautiful, fast car at an affordable price. It has a long, sleek bonnet and a relatively short cabin, ideally for just 2 occupants, and the driving position is low and sporty. Being a muscle car, it is also deceptively comfortable and a highly capable long-distance cruiser.
Traditionalists will be pleased to know that the Mustang is still powered by a V8 engine – a 5.0-litre block that requires no turbos to output a hefty 444bhp. An engine like this is an increasingly rare treat in the motoring world and is immensely enjoyable to put to work. Of course, this comes at the price of efficiency - the 5.0-litre V8 is not built to be a fuel-saver. If fuelling the thirsty V8 engine isn’t your idea of fun, you shouldn’t worry as there’s still a Mustang for you. Ford offers the 2.3-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder ‘Ecoboost’ engine that produces 287bhp. A lighter engine than the V8, it still makes the Mustang shift at pace, and its improved economy figures may be more appealing to some Synergy customers. Both engines come with the option of a 10-speed automatic transmission, and a 6-speed manual is provided as standard.
Iconic, alluring, and a true American hero, the Ford Mustang is a very special car but is also available at a great price, especially on a Synergy lease agreement, something that has always been a part of the Mustang ideology. The world may have changed a great deal since the 1960’s, but the Ford Mustang has remained constant. In fact, there’s never been a better time to lease the legend.
