If you’re in the market for an MPV, the chances of you looking at and considering a Ford S-Max are pretty high. It’s often cited as being one of the best cars of its class, with a design that’s genuinely rather handsome – particularly for this category – and a driving experience that critics say is more rewarding than many of its rivals’.
As with other Ford models the S-Max is available as a ‘Vignale’, which is the name given to the highest specification of certain cars produced by Ford. You’ll find Vignale trim on the Edge, Focus, Fiesta and Mondeo and this S-Max.
The name ‘Vignale’ originates from an Italian coachbuilding company founded in 1948. Vignale was the surname of its founder, a man by the name of Alfredo and his company produced coach-built bodies for cars from famous and successful Italian brands like Lancia and Ferrari. Later, Vignale fell into the hands of another company, a supercar manufacturer called ‘De Tomaso’. De Tomaso was another company that took its name from its founder, who was an Argentine former racing driver who hung up his gloves and helmet to focus on building high-performance machines. They utilised Ford V8 engines, and the firm is famous to this day for producing the ‘Pantera’.
After some time, Ford acquired the rights to Vignale along with another Italian coachbuilding company that went by the name of ‘Ghia’ – a name that might be more familiar with Synergy customers. Ghia was a name found on a fair few Ford models in the latter part of the 20th century. While the Ghia name was being used by Ford, the Vignale name was stored until Ford pulled it out for the firm’s new top-spec models that began arriving in 2015. Since then, the Ford S-Max Vignale personal lease and business lease deals have been popular with Synergy customers and we see a lot of families in particular considering Ford S Max Vignale leasing.
The Ford S-Max Vignale lease gets the same treatment and features as the rest of the Vignale range, including being hand-finished by a specialist team at Ford’s Vignale Centre in Valencia, Spain. It features additional extras in addition to the full range of Ford equipment, such as Active Noise Cancellation, ‘tuxedo-stitched’ quilted leather seating and exclusive colours and alloy wheels. This is in addition to SYNC3 infotainment with navigation, Bluetooth and DAB digital radio, cruise and climate control and the most powerful engines amongst the Ford S-Max Vignale lease deals.
