IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR LEASING AGREEMENT

It’s important to be aware of key information contained within your leasing agreement before proceeding.  If you have any questions, please chat them through with your Account Manager

Firstly, what information do I need to know before my contract starts?

  • You will not own the vehicle, and you may not be able to purchase it at the end of the agreement
  • You may not be able to terminate the agreement early, and if you do you will have to pay early termination charges which can be up to 100% of the remaining monthly rentals
  • If your lease vehicle runs on diesel, it is fitted with a Diesel Particulate Filter. This means that the car must have frequent journeys of 30—50 minutes at a sustained speed to regenerate the filter. If this is not your driving style, you may want to consider an alternative fuel type
  • If your chosen lease vehicle has already been registered (known as pre-registered), the warranty starts from the date of the registration, not from the first day of the lease
  • There are certain manufacturers who may change their pricing after order and before delivery of your new lease vehicle. If this happens, your quoted monthly rentals may change.  We will let you know if your chosen manufacturer operates in this way prior to ordering, and we will inform you of any changes before delivery
  • Synergy will receive a payment or connected incentive from the parties involved in the transaction. The amount is determined by the nature of the contract and their measure of our operating standards and infrastructure. This may influence where we place your business.

Secondly, what do I need to know during my lease?

  • It is your responsibility to ensure the vehicle is insured from the day of delivery until the end of the contract (unless you have a Total Care vehicle where insurance is included)
  • The vehicle must be serviced and maintained to the manufacturer’s guidelines
  • Your vehicle has road tax included; however any government increases in the road tax will be passed on to you
  • The mileage range on a hybrid or electric vehicle should be taken as a guide only, as external, real-world driving factors affect performance

Finally, what do I need to know about the end of my lease agreement?

  • At the end of the contract, your vehicle must be returned in line with the industry standard Fair Wear and Tear Guide.
  • If you exceed your mileage allowance, then excess mileage charges will apply at the end of the contract
