Posted 7 years agoJaguar’s seductively shaped sports car is the heir to the legendary E-Type of the 1960’s.
It’s fair to say that there was a collective dropping of jaws back in 2013 when Jaguar finally took the covers off the long-awaited successor to the legendary E-Type of the 1960’s. The new car – logically named ‘F-Type’ – was a stunning design, worthy of the mantle of succeeding its ancestor, long considered one of the most beautiful cars ever made.
The first F-Type Jaguar lease to be launched was the convertible model and the coupe followed along a year or so later. Both are stunning designs, capable of turning heads anywhere they happen to be and both cars get a similar selection of equipment and technology to choose from. These engines are offered at various outputs across different trim levels, for example, the F-Type V6 S and F-Type 400 Sport use the same engine, but in the 400 Sport it has been dialled up to produce more power. The 2.0-litre 4-cylinder is the newest addition to the F-Type’s engine line-up and is perhaps aimed at people who want the lease F-Type Jaguar body but better running costs and a quieter engine.
Every Jag F-Type lease comes with an 8-speed automatic gearbox which is an excellent sporting, rapid-firing but smooth double clutch unit. When not driving at high-speed it slots in gears so carefully you barely even notice it’s happened, making the Jaguar F-Type on lease a pretty relaxing car to drive when you’re taking it easy.
