Posted 6 years agoWith 7-seats, handsome SUV looks and a spacious and comfortable interior, the Kia Sorento is one of the hottest large family vehicles on the market.
Kia is a brand that seems to be relentlessly improving at the moment, and its new Sorento SUV is a sign that the Korean firm has lofty ambitions. If it’s not immediately obvious from the way the new Sorento appears, Kia wants this new Sorento to be more of a rival to the likes of the Land Rover Discovery Sport rather than the Skoda Kodiaq. In truth, it’s probably best to think of it as a happy medium between those two particular rivals.
The first thing you notice about the Kia Sorento car lease is just how upmarket it looks. Parked alongside any traditional premium brand alternative, the Kia Sorento lease deals look right at home with its strong design and attention to detail. Inside there’s an abundance of space and Kia’s famous high-quality build is easy to appreciate, it really feels incredibly well made. Looks are subjective, so whether the interior design appeals to you or not probably depends on who you are. It’s not fussy and shows no sign of even a hint of extravagance, it’s just well-built, ergonomically friendly interior design.
This is a 7-seater, and usually the second-row seats are really only useful for children but the Sorento car leasing deal has a pretty spacious second row meaning adults would be quite happy sat in the back over shorter journeys, as long as they’re not professional rugby or basketball players. With seats 6 and 7 in use, boot space is obviously quite limited, but when they fold down there’s a huge 660-litre compartment available to fill and this expands to 1,732-litres when the first row is also not in use. Usefully, all seats fold to give a completely flat floor.
Under the bonnet there’s only a choice of one engine – a 2.2-litre turbo diesel that produces just shy of 200bhp. Kia says it’s capable of achieving over 46mpg, with CO2 emissions at 159g/km, which isn’t too bad for such a large vehicle. KX-2 models and above come with the option of choosing a new 8-speed automatic gearbox, and on ‘GT-Line’ models this is standard.
KX-2 is an excellent starting point for any Synergy customer looking at a Sorento, the equipment levels are outstanding from this point on. KX-2 models get front and rear parking sensors, front and outer rear heated seats, dual-zone climate control, smartphone integration, a heated steering wheel, leather upholstery, a rear-view camera and an 8-inch touchscreen navigation system.
