Maserati Levante Business & Personal Car Leasing Offers
Maserati moves into the SUV sector with its stunning Levante, luxury SUV motoring with a real Italian flavour.
When Maserati announced that it was going to build an SUV, there was a little apprehension from purists who widely see the firm as a sports car and luxury saloon builder above all else. However, when the Levante eventually arrived it put to bed most of the criticism that die-hard Maserati fans levelled at it. Not only was it beautiful like a Maserati should be, it was also a fabulous car.
The Levante has now been on sale since 2016, and plenty of them have found homes with those looking for something a bit different and a bit special to drive around in. Being a Maserati, it is far from just a sedate, gentle SUV. It features serious performance and a sharp edge that hints at the brand’s motorsport heritage, as well as a partnership with the world’s most loved car brand – Ferrari.
That link between Maserati and Ferrari comes over the 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 that is designed and assembled by the team behind the prancing horse, and it is quite some unit. Mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox, that engine produces around 350 or 430bhp depending on the state of tune it is in – the Levante ‘S’ gets the higher output. There is also a diesel engine, again a 3.0-litre turbo and this puts out around 272bhp and it is also a V6. All Maserati Levante models come with ‘Q4’ all-wheel drive and there are no other options for gearboxes.
A high-end luxury car like the Maserati Levante is expected to have a certain level of equipment with it. All Levante models are very well equipped, but an emphasis is placed on customisation and personalisation when building such a car, and as such, Maserati offers an extensive range of options on top of the base trim and 2 others that emphasise either luxury or sport. ‘GranLusso’ is the trim that emphasis the luxurious elements of Italian car engineering, while ‘GranSport’ puts the focus on sporting prowess. After selecting the ‘path’ that you want your Maserati to be focused along, the task of selecting the details that make your Levante more personal begins, but regardless of what you choose at this point, you can expect a very high standard of equipment already installed.
Beautiful, powerful and charismatic, the Maserati Levante really stands out from the crowd of SUVs within the luxury sector. It might be Maserati’s first, but it’s plenty good enough to hope it’s not their last.
