It’s pretty hard to top a Mercedes-Benz E-Class. This stunning luxury saloon embodies everything that a Mercedes-Benz is, was and will be in the future and it leaves a huge impression on anyone who gets to experience it.
It won’t surprise you to learn that Synergy customers frequently get in touch with us about this latest generation of E-Class. Mercedes-Benz has plenty of history when it comes to producing elegant luxury cars, and the E-Class is one of its most popular offerings, sitting between the smaller C and the larger S-Class in the model range. The latter is considered the brand’s flagship model, but features and technology from that car are used in the E-Class to ensure that the same quality and desirability is found right across the Mercedes family.
Mercedes has some pretty big rivals in this segment, but where the the Jaguar XF and BMW 5-series focus primarily on an engaging, sporty feel with comfort included, the E-Class saloon sets about going all-out for comfort, and many people find the car all the better for it. With the optional active air suspension fitted it rides just about as comfortably as any other car on the road that isn’t a Rolls-Royce.
A key factor in how special the E-Class saloon feels is the level of technology used. It can be equipped with digital dials, a 12.3-inch high-definition media display, and even semi-autonomous driving technology. The ‘Drive Pilot’ system uses adaptive cruise control, active lane monitoring systems, and a further array of sensors together so that the driver only needs to input minimal steering effort to make the car continue its journey, and this system is really helpful for those Synergy customers who do a lot of motorway driving.
The E-Class’s diesel engines have plenty of power and return impressive economy figures in this car, while the petrol engines are strong, large, silky smooth units particularly near the top of the range. The ‘E 63 S’ has over 600 horses under the bonnet, but naturally there’s a trade-off for such power in the form of drastically reduced fuel efficiency and higher emissions. Not that this will concern Synergy’s true driving enthusiasts, who will just adore the explosive power.
