The Mercedes-Benz V-Class category of cars will be familiar to anyone who’s been to an airport or anyone who’s travelled VIP style from one classy venue to another. The V-Class is almost always used as the people carrier of choice for luxury transport services, and now Mercedes-Benz has launched this new EQV to make it environmentally friendly and efficient for those short journeys.
It joins the expanding Mercedes-Benz EQ series of electric vehicles that includes the EQA, EQB and EQC, as well as electric versions of commercial vehicles in the expanding Mercedes-Benz family.
The Mercedes-Benz EQV lease looks much like a normal V-Class, but with a slightly more stylised front end. Within its body lies a 90kWh battery that should allow the EQV to travel up to 213-miles on a full charge. At its maximum charge rate of 110kW, it should be able to go from 0-80% charge in just about 45 minutes, pretty quick for an EV, though using a wall box mounted to your home this will likely be closer to 13 hours. In total, the battery and the electric motor allow for an output just a touch over 200bhp, and a top speed of 87mph.
When ordering a new Mercedes Benz EQV lease you’ll have the option of how you’d like it to be laid out, with six, seven and eight seat configurations available, as well as an expanded wheelbase version. In the long wheelbase version, eight seats will be equipped as standard. There’s also a few different trim levels available, and our team of professional and friendly advisors will be happy to advise you on those, but even the standard Sport trim gets 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, a very useful Driving Assistance package that makes things safer out on the road, the fabulous new MBUX infotainment system and navigation, a reversing camera, electric sliding doors, ambient lighting and a very much needed charging cable that’s 8 metres in length.
If you need to ferry around multiple people over short to medium-length distances without the need of worrying about fuel costs, then the Mercedes-Benz EQV ticks all the boxes.
