The Mercedes Benz GLA lease – the car for those who like the A-Class hatchback, but like the ‘crossover’ styling more.
In the early 2010’s SUVs were beginning to dominate the UK market, especially the small ones those of us in the biz like to call ‘crossovers’. Mercedes was a little slow in getting a small SUV-like product to the market, but in 2014 they finally released the car we see here - the Mercedes-Benz GLA - and Mercedes GLA lease deals have been hugely popular with Synergy’s car loving customers ever since.
To look at, the little GLA is very similar to its sibling - the ever-popular A-Class hatchback - and you’d be right to assume most of the car is an A-Class. ‘GL’ is what Mercedes calls its SUVs, and so the name GLA basically tells us it’s the A-Class SUV - unless you couldn’t tell just from looking at it. If you don’t want to go over specification with a fine-tooth comb, it’s probably best to think of the GLA as a slightly more rugged looking, lifted A-Class.
Mercedes tells us that the GLA is a ‘genuine off-roader’, but if you’re like most Synergy Mercedes GLA personal lease customers you’ll not be wanting to get it mucky. The GLA’s real home is out on the road where its stylish SUV - or crossover if you prefer - design is very fashionable at the moment. It looks right at home in the city, but also out in the countryside, where the optional Mercedes ‘4MATIC’ all-wheel drive system and lifted height would assist it in traversing fields and rutted tracks.
When it comes to equipment and specifications on the Mercedes Benz GLA class lease you can expect to find much from the A-Class hatchback. The Mercedes GLA has a fuel economy of 37.2-53.3mpg depending on which model and spec level you choose. As well as a choice between a petrol or diesel engine, you also have the option of a plug-in hybrid engine, which has a manufacturer stated range of up to 69 miles, but real-world driving conditions can affect this range.
