Both the interior and exterior designs have clearly been inspired by Mercedes-Benz’s approach to its recent models, no bad thing in our book, and at a fraction of the price.
Inside there’s no shortage of space either, with good leg and head room in all seating as well as a 450-litre boot space in the rear. Top specification ‘Exclusive’ cars feature your choice of either black or black and red leather upholstery, with ambient lighting also included. All cars receive a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as DAB digital radio, satellite navigation, a rear-facing parking camera and Bluetooth connectivity.
There’s just one engine for the new MG HS car lease deals – a 1.5-litre ‘GDI’ which is a turbocharged petrol engine. Regardless of your trim and gearbox preferences – an automatic is available as an option – the engine will produce identical performance figures, it’ll take 9.9-seconds to reach 62mph from zero and top out at 118mph. It’s pretty much exactly what we’d expect from a modern SUV, 160bhp is a perfectly acceptable figure that offers just enough performance without compromising overall efficiency.
