BEST OF BRITISH: CARS MANUFACTURED IN BRITAIN
If you’re looking to buy a British car but don’t know which models are manufactured within the country, then look no further. There may not be as many factories in the UK as there once was, but Britain still plays an important role in the manufacturing of certain cars.
With the Jubilee Celebrations underway, we want to share our top car manufacturers that produce their vehicles in Britain.
Jaguar
Jaguar originally began in the 1920s as the Swallow Sidecar Company producing sidecar motorcycles in Blackpool. Over the years Jaguar has continued to grow and develop to become the prestigious brand we now know them to be, competing with the likes of Mercedes-Benz and Porsche. Excitingly, Jaguar are now beginning to focus their attention towards electric power and have promising plans to build more EV’s in the future.
The UK is responsible for the production of Jaguar’s with manufacturing plants across the country. The Headquarter is based in Coventry and one of the main factories is based in Birmingham. You can even take a tour of the Castle Bromwich factory to see first hand how these magnificent machines are made.

The first Land Rover debuted in the 1940s although the first Range Rover wasn’t introduced until the 70s. These SUVs are now known to be some of the most luxurious in the world. Land Rover has stated from 2024 there will be 6 all-electric options to choose from also.
Land Rover mainly builds within the UK however due to increasing popularity over the years, the manufacture has expanded to other countries.
