It’s a machine quite unlike anything else on the road, from both a design and performance perspective, leaving us with one of the most remarkable cars we’ve ever been able to offer on a Synergy lease agreement. The Polestar 1 car lease deals have been in the works for a long time, originally being presented several years ago in the form of a Volvo concept car. Polestar is Volvo’s performance and electric car arm, tasked with producing special models and electric-only cars for key markets. In 2017, the final design for the Polestar 1 lease offers was presented, but prototypes were still in development in mid-2019, as the company looked to develop the very best car possible with which to launch the Polestar brand upon.
A remarkable piece of car design, the lease Polestar 1 sits high but has a 2-door, coupe form that is a little reminiscent of the Volvo P1800. Much of the car is produced with carbon fibre, allowing for a more elaborate shape and high tensile strength throughout. The Polestar 1 lease deals come with a choice of six different exterior colours with a matte and metallic option for each, as well as interior and wheel options, but one choice you won’t get to make is where the steering wheel sits – the Polestar 1 leasing offers are exclusively left-hand drive.
You also can’t choose an engine, you’re given just one, or more like three to be more precise. The Polestar 1 is a hybrid, with a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine in the front and twin electric motors in the rear. The result of the combined outputs of these powerhouses is 600bhp, an incredible figure only really outshone by the 1000Nm of torque. 0-62mph is supposed to take just 4.2-seconds, but the Polestar 1 also has the capability to run up to 77-miles on electric power only, one of – if not the – longest ranges of any hybrid car.
