There’s a lot of choice for Synergy customers seeking out a comfortable, efficient family estate. Whether you’re looking at one of our business lease agreements, or a personal one, there’s some great offerings out there - the Ford Focus Estate, Hyundai i30 Tourer, Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer, and even the Toyota Corolla Touring Sports. Wait a second, this Suzuki Swace looks an awful lot like the latter…
Well, that’s because it is the latter, in a way. Toyota and Suzuki signed an agreement a while ago to work together, and when 2021 came around Suzuki started to offer up the new Swace, which is almost entirely a Toyota Corolla Touring Sports, but with a couple of small differences, with the badges the most obvious one.
The relationship between Toyota and Suzuki is good news, of course. Toyota makes some of the most reliable and efficient family cars around right now, so that gives us a lot to look forward to with the Suzuki Swace.
It’s a self-charging hybrid with around 102bhp. A 4-cylinder turbo petrol is combined with the electric motor to give very impressive environmental and efficiency statistics. CO2 emissions are just 103g/km, while you should be able to achieve over 60mpg in fuel efficiency. Engine wise, that’s a great package for anyone in the market for a family vehicle and the Swace also comes with a CVT automatic gearbox as standard.
Speaking of standard, there’s an impressive collection of equipment provided as standard on the Suzuki Swace’s two models - the SZ-T and the SZ5. You’ll find heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system in both models, and the SZ5 features upgrades like front and rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, BI-LED projector headlights and parking assistance. It’s the sort of specification that doesn’t leave you wanting much more, and it’s almost become a hallmark of Japanese manufacturers in that they don’t charge extra for the equipment, but choose to provide it in trim levels instead.
In terms of practicality, you won’t be left wanting much more either. There’s 596-litres of boot space available and all seats have good space for adults. All in all, if you’re looking for a comfortable, efficient family vehicle, the Suzuki Swace has just about everything you need, and is superb value for money on a Synergy lease agreement, be it business or personal.
